Nomad Business Feature of the Week: Pall Mobile Service

Welcome to the "Nomad Business Feature of the Week" series, where we spotlight businesses run by our fellow nomadic friends. Each week, we introduce you to a different outstanding nomad-run business.

This week, we're excited to feature Nick, a mobile mechanic. When your home is on wheels, knowing a good mobile mechanic is crucial. They ensure you're never stranded and always ready for your next adventure.

Why Pall Mobile Service Deserves The Spotlight

I originally met Nick, the owner of Pall Mobile Service at Skooliepalooza in January of 2024. Nick offered free classes to teach fellow nomads how air breaks work to spread awareness to the community. Nick spent the whole event running around fixing issues on rigs for a highly affordable price.

About two months later I found myself stuck on the streets of San Diego with a warning notice saying I needed to move my van. Only, when I went to turn it on, it would drive at all. I was leaking power steering fluid and my pump was completely shot.

I searched through my photos to find the picture I took of his contact information, and sent him a text to see if he was around. He was three hours away, and agreed to drive down the very next day to help me out. Even with 6 hours of drive time, Nick still cost me hundreds less than the mobile mechanics in the area quoted me.

But my story is just a drop in the bucket. He has countless reviews that attest to his character, and he is truly a hero for helping so many nomads get back on the road safely. I ended up camping out in Joshua Tree with him and another group for a few days and had the pleasure of getting to know his wonderful family.

Glowing Reviews from Fellow Nomads

Nick's dedication and expertise have earned him numerous glowing reviews from the nomadic community. Here are a few highlights:

1. Sofia B. - 5 stars "Nick is not only the most honest and best mechanics I’ve ever met.. but also one of the most honest and best people I’ve ever met! He not only saved me from being trapped in the desert, but also saved me thousands of dollars! So grateful for him and his beautiful family that I got to spend time with in the process!."

2. Tiffany B. - 5 stars "Pall mobile service is the REAL DEAL! He is kind, friendly and very up front  . He tells you exactly what’s going on and what he see as he goes over everything. This guy knows his stuff . I live in an area that I couldn’t find anyone to work on my bus and he took the time to come out and check it out for me! Definitely 5 stars!!"

3. J.J W - 5 stars "Met Nick thru Skoolie Planet. Originally made contact about a crank, no start issue I was having and inquired whether he was close enough to come look, he was already traveling opposite direction but steered me in the right direction for some diy diagnostics, that led me to discover the fuel problem I was having, ended up being a bad filter on my auxiliary diesel heater. Then month later I had our bus overheat and he happened to be available to drive two hours to come out for inspection and solved the overheating issue for me. He also went thru the rest of the bus and solar setup. He helped me make list of other items I will want to address before it’s first big trip, and laid out a proper preventative maintenance program. Quality work at an Honest price. Highly recommend!"

Meet Nick's Wonderful Family

During my time camping with Nick, I got to know his family and witnessed firsthand the strong support system that keeps him going. He travels with his wife Chelsi and their two sweet boys.

Their Rigs

Nick and Chelsi have two vehicles: Their bus Miss Daisy, and the van Little Miss daisy.
